mental maths
1. add several multiples of 10 or 100 ( 20+40+110+200= 370)
2. 4x / 6x
3. rounding a 2/3 digit number to the nearest 10/100 ( rnd 348 to nrst 10 = 350 / rnd to nrst 100 = 300)
4. 100 more/less than a any 3/4 digit number
