Haaa-aarrrgh me hearties!!!!! Hope ye all had yourselves a good Christmas holiday. Us teachers are very excited about our new topic:

We'll have lots of swashbuckling fun in drama and a story writing project next term. You'll be greeted after Christmas with a mysterious message in a bottle that I found whilst walking on Southerndown beach with my family. I'll say no more...

In the mean time, you can earn some Brucie bonus house points by creating a pirate artefact for our drama and story writing. This could be:

• A treasure map stained with tea bags
• A treasure box
• A parrot!!!
• Eye patch with a special symbol
• false leg stump
• rope

or anything you can think of.

Can you research pirates and life on board a pirate ship focusing on the legends and facts of Welsh pirates. We had some great Welsh pirates with great stories to accompany them.

Can you find any books in your local library?

Ask your parent/s if you could watch Pirates of The Caribbean or Treasure Island (which will be our class novel).
