What's on wb 7th October

I haven't sent the learning logs home today but will do so tomorrow as I wanted some more time to look through them.

It's time for English homework this week and here's this weeks spelling.

UNUSUAL PLURALS

You need to make sure you know the easier spelling rules for adding a plural too which we learnt last year.

* You need to learn the rule aswell as the spellings the more you read and learn the better you will get!*

Find other examples for these rules
Rule 1: adding 's'   boys   tables
Rule 2: adding 'es'    dresses    foxes
Rule 3: change the 'f' to a 'v' and add es  knives
Rule 4: change the 'y' to an 'i' and add an es  babies
Rules 5: unusual plurals  men  mice sheep

Please learn rule 3 and 4;

How many examples can you think of for each rule?
Are there any exceptions?  e.g. roofs !!!!

Lots to think about. Click here for some games to help learn plurals;
