For homework this week we would like the children to create a newspaper report. We have spent a great deal of time on the features of a news report over the last few weeks. The children can choose the event they would like to report on. This event can be factual or fictional, they choose. However, they must include the following steps to success.
- Bold catchy headline
- Sub heading
- Lead paragraph
- Picture and caption
- Columns and paragraphs
- Eye witness accounts (Direct speech)
- A range of punctuation
- Time connectives
The children can choose whether they hand write the report or create a report using the computer. The report should be either printed out and stuck in learning log books or hand written straight in to learning logs.
This piece of work is due Monday 27th November.
Mnay Thanks
Mrs Rees :O)
