Week Commencing 10th September 2018


Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Fabulous first week back Caerau. We have been extremely busy learning about World War 2 and more specifically, evacuees. The children are going to be planning and writing a story over the next few weeks from the view point of an evacuee.

 

What we are learning:

Language

Role plays - acting out a time where children are evacuated  

Introduction/planning story writing

Guided Reading

 

Maths

Place Value - reading and writing numbers to 1 million

multiply by 10, 100 and 1000

Divide by 10, 100 and 1000

Plans for the week



Wednesday – Cardiff city schools are in for the afternoon – Please ensure PE kits are brought to school with appropriate foot wear.


Wednesday – First piece of homework will be posted on the blog (due in on Monday). Keep an eye out.


Thursday – Mrs Boat will be teaching.

Thursday – children will have their second PE session of the week in the afternoon. (Trainers are needed again)




Children will have their first spellings of the year coming out to them today and a reading book to read at home.
Spelling test will be on a Friday morning.
