Drop off and pick up arrangements

  (Key Stage 2 parents whose children currently use the key stage gate for drop off and pick up.)

Dear parent

Your child is currently using the key stage 2 gate entrance way. The only way to access this entrance is via the public footpath, which is very steep leading onto Llys Derwen and is may not be treated by the council. With winter fast approaching, we are aware that this path may not be suitable for pedestrians and could be unsafe.

Following a review of the risk assessment, the  governors have agreed to amend the arrangements for drop off and collection. As of today, anyone who does not want to use the key stage 2 entrance please use the front entrance drop off and collect from the hall at their allocated times; surnames A-L at 3.15pm and M-Z at 3.30pm. Please make sure your child knows which entrance they need to use.

These times will be reviewed subject to change, as we monitor the congestion of increased numbers using the same entrances. If we find the numbers are unmanageable and there is an increased risk then the pick-up times will change. Our main priority is to keep everyone safe as we constantly review our processes through this difficult time.
