Multiplying & Dividing by 10, 100 and 1000
X 10 move decimal point one place to the right
X 100 move decimal point two places to the right
X 1000 move decimal point three places to the right
÷ 10 move decimal point one place to the left
÷ 100 move decimal point two places to the left
÷ 1000 move decimal point three places to the left
If the number you are working with does not have a decimal point put one in to help you.
Pupils have been given a sheet of questions to complete.
