Happy New Year my little lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Santa brought you everything you had hoped for! I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for my beautiful gifts that you gave me. I had a few Christmas Elves visit me over the holidays to deliver them. I love them all and can not believe how kind and thoughtful you are; the gifts are very personal to me! Diolch!
This is going to be a busy term Caerau and one that will need determination and enthusiasm, which you all have in abundance! I know that if you work as hard as you did last term you will do extremely well again this term. Keep it up everyone!
Take a look at all the fun things we will be focusing on over the next two weeks:
Language - The art of Short Story Writing.
Mathematics - Perimeter and Area.
Science - Parts of a Plant.
Geography - Sustainable Travel.
RE - Leaders.
PE - Dance/Gymnastics.
Welsh - Completing work on yourselves, writing and presenting information about you and your family and friends.
Guided Reading - Reading days will remain the same as last term, therefore, please remember your reading diary on your relevant day. If you finish a book before your reading day, remember you are VIPs and should be changing your books independently when necessary. Please remember to make a note of your new book title and the date you had it in the class Reading Record Book. Over the next few weeks we will be looking at Short Stories during our Guided Reading sessions in preparation of writing your own. If you have any good short stories at home that you would like to share with the class, please bring them in. Don't forget to out your name somewhere on the book so that we know who it belongs to.
You will have a New Term Letter to take home by the end of the week which will explain this term's topic in detail, along with PE days and any up and coming trips.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and your last day of the holidays tomorrow. School starts back for pupils on Tuesday 9th January.
